What are you eating.....Out of your veg patch right now?
My veg is a bit pathetic with the miserable weather but we are eating strawberries and I have the first of the summer cabbage steaming as I type. Have been eating Iceberg lettuce for a few weeks but had lollo rosso and little gem as well but its so nasty (I have discovered I really dont like anything but Iceberg :oops: ) so its been going to the tortoises but thats about it so far.

We have broad beans which will be ready very soon. I also have a very large globe artichoke plant which has lots of buds on. Yum! :wink:

i dont think iceburg lettuce has that much flavour ,round lettuce is packed with flavour especialy in between freash bread and salad cream yum yum ! nowt in my garden unless you count a few slug eaten strawberries in a pot ?

so far now we have had potatoes ,broad beans,tomatos,letuce and carrots. :D

carrots and new spuds at the mo. as everything else is pretty much a write off due to the weather :cry:

Considering I only moved into this property in April and at that stage there was nothing in the ground and the greenhouse was empty we have done quite well and have had potatoes runner beans carrots broad beans lettuce and tomatoes so far and have parsnips cabbage cauliflower onions leeks brussel sprouts beetroot and purple sprouting still growing albeit that the slugs have got to some plants before us.
