Swindon Town 3-2 Forest Green RoversWent to the match and got asked to empty my pockets going in the Town End... (they're paranoid after the violence last week) got into the ground and nearly froze.
Following a disgusting cup of tea that nearly made me puke, only purchased to keep my from freezing, the build-up to the game started.
After having a laugh at Rocking Robin going over on his backside and the Forest Green fans being forced up into the Arkells, and what's become our club anthem, the game began.
It was an a decent atmosphere before the goal, and not even Forest Greens fans and their stupid drum could drown us out.
Then we went silent. The resounding thump of the irritating drum getting into my mind, driving all thoughts from my head but hatred of Forest Green Rovers. Then we scored. I don't know much about it because it was up the other end of the pitch from me in front of the Stratton Bank and it's a poor view from my stand.
After a short period of Forest Green domination, it was half time. I looked on in disappointment as the scores from across the country flashed by on the scoreboard.
The second half started with Forest Greens large away following almost deafening the home support. Then Forest Green scored, Swindon were playing atrocious. They continued to dominate, and we were poor... then they scored again. Their fans were screaming for a giant killing.
Then we got behind the lads and shouted them on, and after only a few minute's we got one back, and deserved it. The Forest Green players were starting to slow down, their lack of fitness preyed upon by the Swindon players, ravenous to get to the 3rd round of the competition.
The whole Town End was singing COME ON SWINDON COME ON SWINDON COME ON SWINDON COME ON and Swindon were fired up, constantly attacking the Forest Green goal, and a header from Paynter nearly went in.
The stadium was shaking with noise when Blair Sturrock, who'd just came on, scored the winner. Fantastic.
The rest is just a flash of colours :D
