When did you move away?
I thought the track in swindon shut down years ago I went there once when I was small but to be honest it was too cold for me

many tracks have shut down but as far as i know swindon is still going. i know sky show speedway sometimes but it doesn't seem to get any coverage now

You hear about it on GWR - they won a recent event this past week by a few points.
Never been to one as they are not really my cup of tea, but I am sure that there is skill in them.

Do you know how long the tracks been there because the last time i was there was about 27 years ago and for some reason i thought it shut down then
The equivalent to the speedway where i live is the stock cars every week where people travel from all over to race their bangers

Swindon have the best team in the UK. Some of the worlds top riders race there on thursday nights.
I love the power of the machines . just awesome. Also love the smell of the burn't ethanol fuel ... hmnn..
Plans have been agreed for a new stadium up there and building works are due to start next year !!!!!!

A chap who works for us goes upto Speedway a bit. He reckons it's a great sport to watch. He also reckons the riders have to be a bit mad as well with the speeds they are doing - and with no brakes as well. :shock:
