should we more aware of where are food comes from

with more programmes on tv highlighting where the our food comes from .how important is it that we know?
does it concern you how a animal was treated and lived before you ate it?
does it con cern you that its not from the uk?

It concerns me greatly to know where my food comes from, it's the answer I would expect everyone to echo. I don't want to eat something like intensively reared chicken that has had a crap life and tastes worse than the packaging it come in. People think they are getting a good deal with dirt cheap chickens but they are being robbed of the taste and texture of a real slow growing, naturally reared bird.
