should the law be changedif i was to run over a dog i would have to report it to the police.i would also have to stop my car.
and yet if i was to run over a cat i dont need to stop and can keep going and yet both are someones pets.even if i was to run over a king charles dog what is around the same size as a cat i would have to stop.
why do cats have no laws to protect them?

I think im right in saying, its because years ago you used to have to have a dog licence.
I once hit a cat on my back from swindon, it ran into the hedge on the duelcarriage way, so i drove all the way back up the other side so i could see if i could get it, i spend ages looking in the bushes but couldnt find it anywhere, i drove hom in tears, i hate the thought of killing someones pet whatever it may be.

My mum has the biggest cat I have ever seen, and she is nowhere near the size of a king charles.
A toy poodle, or a miniture shnauzer is about the same size as a cat. Or a westie.
