Should junk food ads....Be banned from the telly .?

Banning things is getting stupid now.
In this case, I would suggest to you that if it offends you, then ban yourself from watching the telly.
Likewise, if you see anything on the telly that upsets or offends you, or you think shouldnt be there, then change channel.
Should Dihydrogen Monoxide be banned?

Rubbish.
Most of the weight problem is people telling us we are over weight. That is the cause of size zero being fashionable.
You could say that junk food ads on the telly make us fat, just as watching football on the telly makes us fit.
Simply put, get of your arse and do something instead of watching telly.

In a society that prides itself on being liberal there is a lot of odd things that people want banning. I have read about the "need" to ban junk food adverts and I can't see it doing any good - the education on junk food comes from reading about issues not banning them. They banned cigarette adverts from the telly but it didn't stop people from smoking.
The odd thing about junk food is that if you were drunk you would not be served in a pub but if you were obese Macdonalds would happily serve you a Big Mac and fries till you popped.

It's not the junk food adds that are the problem.... it is the junk food itself !!
Most of it has "monosodium glutomate" in it, which has been banned in many parts of the world but not here....... it is an addictive chemical, that replaces sugar in food it makes children hypo and it just plainly not required in our food ...... though for some reason ...... mcdonalds dont think so !!!!!!!!
