We see many collections for things abroard.For africa,war torn countrys .even are own goverment gave money to help iraq rebuild.
What about are country ?The nhs is in crisis being under staffed.
yet we are hosting the 2012 olympics when as a nation we really can not afford.
should charity begin at home or should we carry on giving money abroad?

I thing charity should begin at home we in britian have enough problems with out sorting out other countrys its time we delt with the needs of britian.not talking about things like the tsunami that affected every one.

I agree charity must begin at home. Once we have sorted out our own problems then we can look after others.

Though in terms of charities, i feel some pray on the weak to make gains for themselves.

I feel also things like Cancer, heart remidies and other such illnesses should be addressed better by the government. We already pay them huge amounts of money to help us get better and the service just seems to get worse !.

I have no qualms with raising money for charity (swimathon here i come again) i just believe we are giving money to people who should be having more assistance from the government anyway!

Charity starts at home. We should get our own house in order before we go poking our nose into other peoples problems however caused. This is why the NHS is in such disaray, our schools and transport systems as well.
