Evel wasn't just "ill", he'd had a stroke (yes, a STROKE) 48 hours before, and died shortly after the interview.
I would call death extremely ill.
He said he'd agreed to do the interview before his stroke, and he didn't want to disappoint his fans.
Strokes affect the brain (as they are a blood clot on the brain), so this could be why he came across as "a very rude person".
I'd think a bit more before posting if I were you....

That's not rude it was a crime, and he did the time.
Local Lass was on about him coming across rude during the interview, to quote her:
"evil came across as a very rude person."
Please don't take my posts out of context.

the post is about Richard Hammond (Top Gear presenter aka "The Hamster" interviewing motorcycle stunt legend Evel Knievel last night on TV.

prehaps i never put that across right then ..the way he spoke to richard i thought was rude.
he clearly was a legend in his time but even though he was ill i wouldnt put up with that.
he came across as a bloke who not only did the most amazing stunts but someone who had to be in the lime light.all of the time.he did indeed to his time for the baseball attack he also lost his reputation
