Kizzy did you watch the hogfather what was on around christmas ?i have never read any of his books but i quite liked that.

best james herbert book has to be suviver.also a classic was trhe fog i can under stand why it was banned when first published. Laughing

Yes I watched the Hogfather, it was fantastic kept very close to the book. I have every Discworld novel Terry Pratchett has written, calendars, diarys, figures, bookmarks, films (there were also 2 cartoon films done) pictures, badges, t-shirts, jewellery etc etc etc Rolling Eyes

(Now I sound like a complete freak Shocked )


One I liked of James Herbert was Others (nothing like the film) It was very interesting if some what warped

I have just finished reading his trilogy about Thomas Of Hookton - about a medieval archer and his quests - Harlequin, Vagabond and Heretic - They were fantastic and as you say he uses historical facts to mould his story around
