public transportin recent months i have caught the bus to few places something which when i had full use of a car i would never even consider.and havnt caught a bus in about 15 years since i was at school.i would have to say im quite impressd its 150 for a single to chippenham and the busses are clean and even more surpiseing there is no graffitti on the seats.
when i used to catch the bus it always was full of dog ends and chewing gum on the seat and stains on seats what you really would not want to sit on.
you also dont have the hassle of parking .
there used to be a old saying that the only good thing in calne was the a4 out of it.thats changed cos the bus service is good as well.

Used the 55 a couple of times to Swindon and it's not too bad, I have to say.

 I drive but regually take the bus to work as parking is very limited ,the service is excelent , i feel sorry for some of the bus drivers with the abuse they have to put up with from some idiots .The 55 service is great .

and, you can also get a very simple link from the bus station in Swindon to a City bus which goes to the hospital. You just walk out the bus station (as if going towards the shops), go up the steps/slope to the flyover, and pick up the Hosp bus from there.
