Plastic bags

Should there be a complete ban on plastic bags ?
pimpdriver

Yes. I have tried to cut down, and try to keep a couple of reusable ones in the car but sometimes I forget. I always refuse a bag where staff offer one for 2 items!!!! I've got 2 hands............
pimpdriver

Staff in shops should be taught not to offer bags, but to give them out only if asked...........

I use my bags as bin bags i havnt brought black sacks for a few years.
i hope they dont ban them .

I use mine for fire lighters, they are as good as the proper ones and dont cost me anything, also i use them for rubbish too.

Likewise.
Although i tend to get more bag's then I need when shopping So I always have spare bin bags.
Local lass

i do that Laughing
i always get extra.
pimpdriver

that is crazy!!!

Buy bin liners, biodegradeable ones. Ones without holes that don't let things drip inside your bin.

We are supposed to be cutting down on plastic bag use, not use more!!!!
Local lass

its not crazy.
i find it hell of a lot easier .also you dont take as long to fill them up when  they are full they go out side in the bin .so no nasty niffs in the kitchen.
i use plastic bags for all sorts not just the bin bags ,most plastic bags have been recycled or bio digradeable.

i find it more daft to that supermarkets have so much packaging .whey wrap a swede in plastic?
Clunk

I fill 2 carriers a day.
Also because they are smaller then bin liners, they fit in the wheelie bin better.
Local lass

have to agree with clunk here.
why pay x amount for bin bags when you can get them at the supermarket free.and they get re used
