Is anyone aware that the Town Council is running a petition to get the Polce to close the A4 allowing us to have The Lantern Parade.

.. as per Town Council Meeting on Monday July 13th .. The minutes state that the road closure has been approved .. Its there for all to read in the Library and Calne Town Council web site ..

I went council offices Tuesday but they a rather vague, regardihg that was it going ahead .
I saw them to day and they confirm that you info. was correct.

I attended the council meeting on the 13th July when the town mayor announced that approval had been received confirming that permission has been granted for the road closure.
The lantern parade will therefore take place.
