Freecycle is brilliant............for clearing out as well as needing something.

My washing machine broke a few months before I was due to move in with my partner, so there was no point buying 1 as his was fine.

I got 1 from freecycle.............delivered AND installed free.

It's an amazing site for people in need of something!!!

always been a big  fan of freecycle but some people on there is always on the want. and the stuff they want is daft inc lap tops, and cars.
i know some on there has around three accounts on there. Evil Mind it kind of puts you off a little .
i make sure that if i offer stuff i never let it go to the people who just want all the time.

same here. If I offer stuff, I wait for 24 hours before responding to let everyone have a chance.

Also, if they're polite and don't use "text talk" like "i rly nd 1 of dem, wud luv it LOL" then it ups their chances.

We managed to furnish a whole 2 bed house from freecycle for my brother inlaw a few weeks ago, they'd just moved in together, he was starting a new job and his G/F was about to give birth. 2 van loads of stuff. And they were genuinely grateful.
