most mail is junk mail anyway with the computer about it is avoidable to use the postal service.im surprised they have lasted as long as they have.

Disagree: I think that they have enough problems with competition as it is without making it easier to lose their market share.
Computers may have reduced some things such as personal letters, but they've certainly increased other things, such as eBay parcels.
