Should prisoners have so many rights?
The country has got too soft with prisoners, why should they have so many rights when they are sent to their respective holiday camps after violating other peoples rights?
Prison should be just that, prison, and they should all have to serve their entire sentences, not half of it or less. They should be made to work (hard labour) in order to "pay" for their crimes.
Moaning about overcrowding and the such like, its not meant to be the Hilton!
With the current prison populous at bursting point, I think it would be a good idea to start building some new ones now, and make them tougher on the inmates. Political correctness has gone too far in my opinion.
The poll is meant to be light hearted (my sense of humour!)

There's a decent entry on this in another part which I should have cut & pasted but will rehash here instead:

Prisoners should be made to run on treadmills to generate electricity all day to pay for their crimes and their punshment. ANy prisoners who are too tired to run can have a rest, in the chair wired up to the electricity!

More seriously, violent prisoners who are repeat offenders (anyone can mess up once) might be made eligible for street sweeping and other menial duties, in Kabul or Karbalah perhaps.

Problem is no adays people are not afraid of prisons.
The sentancing on cases is rubbish you get 9 month and you are out in 9 weeks. Roll eyes
