has calne changed for the better ???

you decide?? the town centre looks better than it used to ,but around William street were the shops are it looks a scruffy mess,it never used to when tiches newsagent or the fruit and veg shop or even when the farm house kitchen was there ,does anyone remember all the lush pies they used to make ? didnt that hot bird with curly brown hair use to work there?? Roll eyes

I cant remember the bird with the curley hair.but the pies were nice. You do get a lot of youngsters round there at night but same as you do round any shops.it has improved a lot over the last 6 months.

I think the problem with the William Street area is that it is in need of modernisation. Every estate location eventually needs updating.

the trouble with william street is the takeaways , its trendy for board teenagers to hang out side a takeaway late at night than just to hang outside a closed shop. Then theres the problem with all the litter from lazy sods who cant be bothered to use the bin.

last time i looked there was three take aways there .They are all very good as well Big Smile
I think the police can remove kids from there and it has improved from what it once was.
There has been some great improvements in calne the only trouble i find is its getting to big.

Three takeaways does seem a bit too excessive for a very small shopping complex containting about six shops. :?

3 does seem a bit much . I bet they do a good trade tho.

the kebab and burger shop is never busy although the people in there are very nice.
the kids dont hang around there as much now either.what is a pain in the backside is all the kids who leave there bikes just on the floor outside the door .
