Whatever happened to "nutty bars"?.. they were just my cup of tea! In their see- through brown plastic wrappers..fudge/toffee stuff incased in peanuts they were yum....no good for nut allergies though...probably why they disapeared...though I'd have thought the cryptic nuts in a snickers nee marathon are more dangerous!....needless to say being one I am not allergic to nuts..lucky that Big Smile

Is it nut brittle you speak of? Loads of peanuts in semi-hard toffee? It was yummy. I think perhaps HMG took it off the market as it did not contain sufficient warning that the product 'may contain nuts'. Believe it or not, even bags of nuts had that warning on once upon a time.

If you want a proper 'nutty bar' in Calne, try the Wheat Sheaf pub.. last time I went in there, it was full of nuts, (but in a good way, of course) smiling

i used to ove picniks but there no longer the same.peanut brittles are lush but very very fatting.
