New police stationhttp://www.gazetteandherald.co.uk...on_gets_planning_permission/#showso when the old one gets knocked down where will the police be during thenight.im amazed that they could afford a whole new building,i dont thing anyone would disagree with the fact that we need a larger police station and more police presence in the town. the police what are about do good job but they are so understaffed. |

The plans are in the library and having read a little about it the design is a new concept and the first in the country to be introduced.
I believe it'll be a manned station with a custody suite ..... a good thing for Calne me thinks !! The police will be using bank house i think for the interim period ! |

I can't find the original plan on the Internet any more, but I don't recall it having a custody suite in it (certaingly no spaces marked "cells"!  ).
