Lords Cricket ground2008 marks to 20th anniversay of Goatacre Cricket clubs 1st visit to the headquarters of cricket. As a player (very minor) in that team the memories are still very strong.
We attended a dinner on the Friday evening before the game on the Saturday. The teams we mixed up and everyone sat at tables of 10. My wive sat next to Brian Johnson and the guest of honour was the cricketing legend Sir Len Hutton.
There was several thousand Goatacre supporters in the ground and I am keen to hear about there memories of that day and those of 1990 when we were lucky enough to reach the final again.
For those who don't know Goatacre Cricket Club won both finals becoming the National Village KO Champions.
