Leisure Centre

The Calne Leisure Centre website is advertising a special membership promo on 09/09/09.

Having been told by Mrs. Dexter that I need to lose some weight and get fit, I have been thinking about getting myself down the gym and go swiming more regularly than I do at the moment.

Does anybody here use the gym at the leisure centre and if so would an unfit and admittedly slightly overweight person look out of place there? This seems to be a good price and I would like to support our town's facilities rather than pay more for private membership somewhere else.

Hi Dexter.

Its well worth it. The gym is good quality and has all sorts of members. That is a really good offer.

Peter Dolman is the man who knows about the leisure centre and its activities.

As a "slightly" over weight middled aged (?) man I am a member of the gym (not been to regularly recently due to work) and play badminton for 2 hours every wednesday evening. I don;t consider that I am out of place and recommend exercise to any one who can afford it. The offer is a great one and you should grab it with both hands.

I am taking up the offer too. There have been various other centres offering incentives recently but this one is by far the best nearly £100 better than the recent St marys one and more facilities too !
Peter Dolman

well done Chepfer please spread the word

I used to play Badminton up to 3 times a week when I was at College. I think it's a far better game than squash for over all exercise and I believe it is also the fastest racquet sport in the world.
Local lass

i would have thought squash was faster than badminton.
Peter Dolman

does it matter other than someone is getting some exercise and hopefully living longer because of it.

(personally don't see the point of squash)
