I'm around the middle... not too far from Somerfield
Got double-glazing etc, still, I usually hear bigger fireworks, always hear it when they've got them going at Bowood.

had some going off round here earlier - not looking forward to when they have the proper display as they rattle our windows

to be honest for a lot of people, on here and other forums, it's just moaning for the sake of moaning about fireworks.

You should see the firework display we do for family at my cousins house. Last year, we set off over 300 fireworks. We got bored, so taped some together.
And before anyone spouts of about health and safety blocks, we have an explosives expert in the family, who was guiding us on how to do it.

Fireworks should be for Bonfire Night only. They should ban public sales and only allow organised displays. I believe they have this in place in other countries.
We will now experience fireworks several times a week until the clocks change in April

would have to say the same there i would sooner go to a organised display .than spent that on fire works.
when i was growing up the village i lived in had a great set up each family payed a fiver that money went to the firworks.
from about september we used to get hold of a old telegraph pole what was the center piece of the bonfire.
then bonfire would start being made .the local kids made the guy and each family would bring food one would do the onions and sauages others would bring jacket potatoes.and people would also brink drink.
it resulted in a great night which lasted about 5 hours it was fab and resulted in great community spirt.
unforumatley the field which it was in has been sold so these bonfires no longer happen.
used to love finding all the fireworks the next day.
most places now dont even have a bonfire and if they do its all roped off and that far away you can not feel its heat losing some of the magic which bonfire night holds.

When I was a kid living in Manchester we made a bonfire in the shell of a terraced house which was in a row to be demolished unfortunately because it was only us kids doing it with no parental control when it came to bonfire night and we lit it things got out of had and the whole street eventually went up causing the fire brigade to attend. Luckily all the houses were empty and my parents never found out that I was involved. Just didnt think about the consequences. You dont went your only nine.

Horrible those empty terraces... When I was young in Sunderland we ended up one of the only ones on the terrace when all the mines went down.
Wasn't fun............................................................
