In the darkI don't see a lot of photos posted from night time. I think that is mainly because there is less subject matter and the percentage of decent quality pics is low.
Here are some of mine:

Easier to find subjects though really since they need lights on them or their own lighting.
Neon signs are fun pics
Some light sources are hit and miss

Night with snow was a bit more challenging to get a good white balance and some pics are just best as B/W

I have 2 older cameras, a Sony DSC-S75 that works best in auto at night and a Nikon Colpix 4300 that will sometimes work in 'Night scene' or auto at night.
One shot I would like to get but cannot is night fog - it just turns out terrible. I am planning to get a new camera this year and once I can shoot in RAW it should help night pics.

That one wasn't too cold. The coldest actual pic is the blowing snow one above that, it was 0F and windy.
