in devizesi went to Devizes today and for the first time ever i used there new toilets behind the market place they were manned and you paid 20 pence to use them but they were spotlessly clean they had no graffiti and it didn't smell of urine there was no dirty sanitry ware smeared on the walls or on the floors.
i know a lot of people from Devizes moaned about the cost of these toilets its one hell of a building .
but i would sooner pay to go i toilets like these than i would to go in normal toilets .
the last time I went in to Calne's public toilets there was needles on the floor graffiti along with crap over the walls.
and it stunk what would you sooner use something what is clean but you pay for or normal public ones.

It's no wonder that there is no "free" toilets when people subject them to abuse and vandalism.

There is nothing worse than being out and about with young children and them suddenly wanting to use a toilet - they can't hold on!
The worse toilet I went in is in the car park in Chippenham - the big car park next to New Look?
really vile.........another option would be for more shops to let customers use their toilets, but I suppose that may fall foul of healthand safety......

Best toilet I ever went to was purely by chance: somewhere on the way to Scotland, stopped off in a village off the main road and went to their public toilet. Immaculately kept, and had won a prize: it really made a positive impact and induced me to spend in their (bought an ice-cream or something I forget).
Seems sometimes those responsible for them forget what impact a 'crap' experience can have!

I remember being in Harrod's last year and having to take my eldest two to the toilet. In a posh store like that they have a "lavatory attendant", probably just there to keep an eye out for thieves. One of my boys (they're both 6) wanted to know why there was a man in the toilet who didn't want a wee.  What a crummy job he had - watching people go to the toilet all day long, unless he had a fetish.
