Iain M BanksIain M Banks - Matter.
Not for early readers, this book, as with many of Bank's works, does not rest on the conclusion or some major climactic event at or near the end. The literary skill and multi-plot layers Banks inevitably weaves into his work makes the whole experience a worthy passing of time. Twisting and changing, while using his immense knowledge of physics, bound together with his amazing ability to add humour to the darkest situations, developing the story imaginatively and with apparent ease.
I am almost through this book and am being tossed from wanting to read it to conclusion and slow it down in order to savour the work for longer. The latter wins..
I am also reading several other books, most are non-fiction.
