Does home grown really taste better?Had the first of my summer cabbage last night and had to say I was totally underwhelmed, if I had boiled it instead of steamed it it would have had no flavor at all and as it was it had almost none  I mean it couldnt have been fresher, and it looked the picture of succulence but flavor, nope, none that I could find

i think carrots definatly taste better home grown or organic ones in the shop .
i dont go alot on frozen veg, take frozen sprouts (uggghhh)what a pile of poo they end up flavourless and soggy .
it tastes better using freash veg and to steam them ,especially cauliflower or broccoli .

I do like frozen veg its quicker for a start.but fresh veg does always taste so much better .i love fresh cabbage and like gb said steamed veg holds the flavour in even more.

 frozen veg is lazy !
it doesnt take 5 mins to prepare .

We are now picking potatoes,lettuce and tomatos and it tastes so much nicer than what you get in shops.
