I can safely say that I have never smoked, and don't know how hard it is to give up.
But it can't be that hard can it, when your life depends on it????

Nicotine is more addictive than heroin so as you can imagine it is very hard to give up, just like an alcoholic just one can set you off smoking again.

yep i smoke......
life is way to hectic at the min to even try to stop, i dont drink so ive gotta have some pleasure and as i have to give medication it is best i dont start drinking so i will stick to my fags thanks

But........
do you actually get pleasure from it, or is it a fix because you have withdrawal symptoms and you can't admit you are hooked and can't actually give it up??? I am hooked on coffee.
People say they smoke to "chill out" but really they get stressed because they need their nicotine fix, and get "relief" when they get the "hit".
I have never seen the attraction, and it is becoming a social leprosy to smoke since it was banned in pubs etc.

I do enjoy it and i dont feel like a social leprosy as all my friends and family also smoke.
and yes i am hooked, i only started smoking about 7 years ago, never smoked when i was younger.
I did talk to my doctor a few years back about stopping, because i thought i should, but he told me it wasnt the right time for me.
Im not affected in my place of work as i work from home and even when i was working in the pub, i used to have my fag whilst clearing the beer garden

thats the thing with smoking sometimes i dont enjoy it its more the habit kicking in.other times i really do enjoy a cigerettee.

I've had a couple of doses of Morphine which is the same thing. I had an operation on my knee about ten years ago and my god, that stuff certainly ticks all the boxes when it comes to pain relief (and making you feel good.  ).

Used to pinch my mums cigs when i was about 9yrs old but never felt the need to take it up ,cant stand the smell on people that do smoke ,i would rather smell a meaty fart ! Whoops did i really say that ?

I do a bit maybe 3 a day but 20 if I'm on a session party etc....
like to think I could drop it any time but don't!
