Calne Waterpolo.Anyone interested in starting up the Calne Waterpolo Club.
The club was unfortunately disbanded a couple of years ago but with the new leisure centre opening it would be great to re instate Calne into the Local leagues.
Anyone interested in Rugby or football and can swim would love it, 2 goals, 1 ball and a whole lot of fun in and out of the pool.
Give me a shout if your interested.

If you can hold your breath that long underwater and can swim a little.
Then you'd love Waterpolo too !!!! :D

Might be interested. It looks a bit violent though, is it?

No, it's not really that violent at all, no more than football.
It looks worse than it is because of all the water splashing everywhere.
Waterpolo is really well refereed but then main rule of the game is, if your holding on to the ball, then an opponent can do anything to you (within reason) to get it off of you. So you end up treading water with the ball just under your hand and if someone tries to dunk you , they get penalised.
It's great fun and the people who play it are really good sports and you have a alot of fun.
Anyway i am just trying to see if theres any interest....
Theres always the role of goalie.... they are the best as you can do what you want to anyone who gets in your way !!!!!

Hmmm not that rough eh..... I played for quite a while but had to give up after suffering a badly broken nose (hospital to get it straightened)
I could not commit to the tackles afterwards so i was no good to anybody.. but I agree its a great sport

Custard .......... what a bummer.
Yes it does happen and especially in waterpolo, with all the elbows flayling about.
But like i said ...... no more violent than football and a whole lot more gentlemanly afterwards as well.
