What would be interesting would be some older pictures maybe of Harris's in its prime or maybe other parts of Calne. You know the sort of pictures that you look at and say "Wheres that then"

I have loads of said pictures on my computer, not just of harris' but of other area's of calne as well. Problem is I ripped them from a website and they are all copywritten so I cannot post them. I will try and find the site so you can rip them yourselves.

i NEVER REALISED JUST HOW MUCH HARRIS DOMINATED THE CENTER OF CALNE.
i also never realised that it was the other side of barkleys bank either i knew it was where the carpark is now.
great photos though .

Excellent photos, Biggles. :wink: Your first photo (the one with the sign post in it) has the old Harris butchers shop in it. That brings beck some memories I can tell you.
