Does anyone know anything about the Calne Camera club, sounds like a great idea and a good place to meet likeminded people.

The calne camera club is held at the woodlands on a monday night .just go along the people are really friendly.
i was went on a trail night and was ment to join after my holiday but money hasnt premited yet :lol:
chepfer if you are intrested in photography then its a fantastic club and you can learn a great deal.

No not yet Local....... though i do keep "thinking about it", I'd like to do a photography course and learn how to make the most out of Digital camera..... i thought this might be a better way of doing it instead of going to college......

i have been .it is a extreamly friendly group .they let you go so you can see whats its about and stuff.when i was there they were doing the results of a competition .
the photos were amazing and the speaker pointed out what was right and wrong with each photo.
looking at them you wouldnt see anything wrong then when it was pointed out you could see it.
think the annuel fee is about 30 quid.
well worth it though.

i am mentto go back i last went in aug but then i went on holiday and was ment to join after the holidays.but for one reason or another i just havnt got round to it.
i am now going to wit untill i have the proper equipment.

I would be interested to hear if anyone goes regularly. I am really into photography and have been thinking about joining for some time but I work away alot so couldnt ever go regularly.

Are they a good relaxed bunch who dont mind if you only go every now and then or are you expected to attend every week and produce work every month?

i dont think they would mind that.you pay something like 30 quid a year.
i dont have the equipment to do it but it is really friendly they regular hold competitions and some of the photos are amazing.
some are very big in macro.
they let you have a couple of tasters before you pay
