BUTTER BISCUITSmade these today from this recipe and they were really nice.they are slighty richer than short bread.and the break very easliy but perfect with a cup of tea.
ingrediants
7oz butter
6 egg yolks
8oz plain flour
6oz caster sugar
preheat oven to 180
grease up your baking trays
take a table spoon of the egg yolk and add a tiny amount of milk ready to glaze them.
place the flour in a large bowl and make a well in the midle.
add the remaining egg yolks,sugar and butter and using your finger tips work them together untill smooth and creamy.
then incorparate the flour in to the mix.it will make a slightly sticky dough.
flour your hands and pat the dough till its about 8mm thick,cut out with a biscuit cutter..
brush each biscuit with the egg glaze,you can also score them.
bake for 12-15 min until golden brown ,
leave to compleatly cool on a wire rack.
