Did you get married in a church?
It amazes me that people who do not belive in god ,get married in a church,become a god parent to a child .If they dont belive in god why do they do it?
why is it that more often than not they also get there kids cristianed.

No is the shortest answer I can give you. The main reason is that the idea that a supernatural being created all of this seems rather illogical in a biblical sense.

Yes - twice in fact. I may have taken part in a religious vow but I see the role of god-parent more of being part of a persons life than a mere relation or friend. I also think that the whole rite of passage to become a god-parent has probably got more to do with paganism and it is yet another of those festivals that has been hijacked by main stream religions and twisted to suit their needs. Christmas being the most famous example.

Yep. My wife believes in a "god" so it was the right decision for her and who am I to argue??

-religion aside, it is still sort of traditional for this country albeit a dying tradition (too many other cultures).
