And we expect kids to be polite......

I bring my child up to be polite to say please, thankyou .
why the hel should i bother when it seems most adults are completly rude.??
i have lost count at the number of time when my son has held a door open for some one and they just walk through with no thanks.

most adults moan about the rude ness of kids but in reallity the adults are ruder than kids.

It does go both ways you are definitely right there. Still, no need to give up and sink down to the level of the impolite, better to rise above it!

makes me so mad though. Laughing
i wouldnt sink to that level on occassion if the person hasnt said thankyou i will turn around and say to my child well that was nice for the man/woman to say thank you. making sure that they can here.

one of the most worst moments was we were in asda in weymouth and my son who was 5 at the time like putting in the coin for the trolley so as i waited by the door he went and got a trolley something what he could do no problem.
on this occassion though the coin wouldnt release the trolley .this guy stood behind by son moaning to his wife about the amount of time it was taking him then stomped off to the other trolleys with the words havnt got all day to bloody wait.

this really annoyed me and i walked toward him and did say to him well at your age i would have thought you would have learned some patience .he looked so sheepish .and didnt say another word.
daffy

As they say manors dont cost a thing . Evil or Very Mad

If my mum gave me one thing in life worth more than gold it was a simple working knowledge of manners and being polite.  Cost nothing and make all the difference to those we encounter.

It's a fact that older people have once been young and should know what it is like.  Young people have yet to experience being older (notice I don't use the word o.l.d.) so we should give them some slack and show them by example.
