Always get a second opinion.My ex-wife took her computer to a so-called computer expert who advertises in the town crier, because her sound wasn't working. This was my fault, as when I fixed her computer last, I did not plug speakers in and I repaired it remotely. But anyway, he wanted to charge her £50 for a new soundcard, video card and usb driver installation. He also told her it would take 2 days.
I told her he was wrong.
I have just fixed it. Took 5 minutes. Nothing needed replacing. Everything now works as it should. If I had charged, I would of charged £5.
