ALL IS QUIETDo you think the "recession" is restricting access to this site? I ask as the number of contributors seems to have fallen. I do not have any imperical data on this it just seems to be that case.
I have not been as active as I have due to my political activities and a close family bereavement.
They is so much going on in the county(Unitary Authority), the country (G20 etc) and the world (recession, wars, kidnapping etc) so its not that there is noting to talk about.
We seem to have a large number of Guests who dip in and out, lets hear from you. Go that extra mile and let us know what you think about what you read.

Sorry to hear about your loss.
I dont think the lack of activity on this site is confined just to this forum.
I visit a couple of other forums conected with my job and last weekend it was completely dead as this site was,perhaps its just the better weather and all the jobs that need doing around the house and garden thats affecting the posts here.
Right better get back to that list of jobs to do.

Sorry to hear of your loss, Peter.
To echo a few of Chris's points, most debate forums are quiet at the moment. Unless someone makes a point of actually creating a topic for discussion the forum will remain lifeless. Thankfully we have quite a few members on here who do take the time to create topics for discussion but the more the merrier. 
We, like many sites, have plenty of guests - either real people or google bots. I know that quite a few people do actually visit this site but are more interested in just reading the posts rather than joining in with a debate. That's their choice I suppose but if you are a guest reading this please register yourself (it's dead easy) and join in!!

all sites are quiet at the moment .but insted of moaning about it start some topics up.most of the topics on here is started by me.would be nice for other people to start them for a change theres loads going on at the moment which could be up for disscussion.
looking at top dogs post its the reason why he/she quit and i dont blame him

That is correct that all sites are quiet at present.
Advertise the site more and you will get more members on here.

Local Lass you seem to have missed the point and rationale behind my (yes another one of mine) topic. I am trying to encourage debate and while it seems to have worked its responses are from the normal quartet.
Why do some assume that its a form of "moaning" or general "whinging"?
In footballing/celebrity chef speak "lets be having you", I would like to see, and be involved, in more debates.
