would anybody notice if someone stuck some (removeable hence non damaging) black letter stickers on the bottom of the "Calne" town signs, saying
calnetalk.com and calne.org.uk For some reason, someone has put the word "that" on a Castle Combe sign, I think it is hilarious. "That Castle Combe". |

In theory a good idea But it kind of lowers the standard of the site a bit if we can only advertise in this manner ?!.
It's a bit like those lose 50 stone in 8 weeks adverts you see on roadside signs ...... i hate them and think they look awful ! |

Not sure there would be enough demand for those pimp.As most members are aware we do have buisness cards available. If any of are members would like some to hand out contact one of the mods or admin.
The posting on signs does work well.As we found out due to your excelent signs over the gypsie meeting in the town hall. The main problem we have is lack of funds.When we do advertise it does need to be cheap which is the reason why i ask members to pass are web site address on.word of mouth is one of the best ways of advertising. Reason why there is lack of funds is because this forum recieves no money and is done by people who want to give something back to the community.It is solely on volentary basis.What money this forum does cost comes out of our own pocket. Here are a few ways you can help advertise the forum. Tell your nighbours. Place a buisness card in your local pub,place of work. Tell your work mates. Add the forum address to your signiture on other forums. If you are on a social site like facebook,my space ,beebo tell your friend. In peters words "use it or lose it" |
