Honestly don't know - on humanitarian grounds there is some basis for doing it, but the crime was pretty henious.

Definitely not: but what the US does is not necessarily moral or even right! |

The guy has never shown any remorse over his actions and actively promotes that what he did was right ..... to me ....well ..... to take someones life (if not hundreds) deserves no respect, dignity or compassion in return.
This just shows all the other would be bombers that we'llforgive them in the end and they can die happy !
It's not right and though i agree with the US in there thoughts, a boycott is ridiculous - Especially if it's England as well , it was a SCOTTISH decision ! |

| I think they should never have released him he should have been properly punished for what he done even if it meant dying in there! |

| I dont think they should have released him at all he deserved a painfull death for what he done, with america trying to boycot scotland all they are doing is hurting the scotish people who rely so much on tourism,. I know that they have just also releashed ronnie biggs but compared to what he done and what the lockibie bomber done its totaly different.i agree with the release of ronnie. |

Although, reading some other articles about it, there is some debate as to whether he was just a scape-goat. |

now, it looks like London had a say in his release. With a decision such as this, I can only think that the PM (Gordon Brown) must have signed it off.
Wether or not this was for increased oil supply, etc etc, and wether you think thats a fair deal or not doesnt matter - what matters is that its the lie/cover up that gets you. |

So true Win !!!!!
Theres more to this than we'll ever know, though Gordon must have had good reasons to let the guy go free ..... Theres something else going on here me thinks.
