sorry, musicals are not my bag, but this was excellent and I have seen it twice now and would be more than happy to see it again.
Its an excellent feel good film with the great music and fantastic scenerie(?).
If you have not been to Greece then this may make you want to go. _________________ A lifelong Calne supporter |

I thought it was Piers Brosnan who sang off key and was a bit wooden.
The star for me was Meryl Streep who seemed to be very much enjoying her self. I thought Julie Walters came a close second.
They came into the film with no history of singing/dancing but really enhanced their reputations.
This very much a feel good film and no one is blown up, shot, mutilatedand their are no car chases.
Another reason for watching it. _________________ A lifelong Calne supporter |

Peter did you ever watch evita?madonna polayed a blinder and was very good you looked at her and belived she was evita you looked at jimmy nail and you saw only jimmy nail.
i found this the same with julie waters.
some actors can do musicals.
take chicargo at the end of the film i said to the other half i though caterine zeta jones was in that and she was she was that good i never noticed her as czj just velma.although i do think richard gere was queationble |

like many things its a matter of personal choice.
I did not see Evita because I do not like Madona and would not walk to the end of my garden to see her.
Sorry I thought Julie Walters very plausible as a scatty middled aged (or slightly older) woman and she gave an excellant performance. _________________ A lifelong Calne supporter |
