for about the 18th time this year the dog poop bin in our street has been removed by force  of the lamp post it was attached to and ended up half way down the street

the same happened in Lickhill road with rubbish bins and they were eventually removed altogether.
the costs of providing dog poo bins, including emptying them, is very high and was one area the old NWDC identified as possible savings.
so I expect them to disappear at some point as the county council try to balance the books!

Be nice really to catch the people vandalising the bins in the first place: as Peter says, it's quite likely new council hasn't picked up the responsibility for this yet, but just replacing them won't really help if they keep getting damaged.

problem is though nore will the removing them help,if they remove the bins then dog poop on the streets will be worse than anything.
so whats the alternitive to not having them ,and lets face it not every person will pick up there dog crap.
would it become the street litter guys to pick it up?
