I was walking to see my kids one Friday evening about a year ago and on North Street was obstructed by a supermarket delivery driver who had parked partly onto the footway. His wing mirror was swung out across the path and he was no-where for a few minutes. Loads of Friday traffic on the road meant I had to wait a while to either cross or overtake the idiot parked in my way. (Imagine now you are a pushing kids in a double / buggy!).

The driver / delivery boy arrived and I commented (most assuredly in short sharp expressive words) how stupid and inconsiderate his parking was. He dialled 999!

I laughed in derision at the w@nker and spoke loudly proclaiming my hopes he get arrested for wasting police time. Friday evening, he's parked illegally and without due thought for pedestrians passing, and HE thinks he should be able to dial up emergency services. I waited almost ten minutes and then walked on. I heard nothing. I hope they arrived and beat him to a pulp, tied him up in a burlap sack and he awoke days later in Helmand province as a slave to some kinky Talleban warlord. Now THAT is what I call a Pratt!
