past this pub so many times and never went in.well today me and a friend decided to go out for lunch and its where we ended up.
we sat in the gardens which is greatly maintained over looking the canel.the amount of fish we saw in the canel was brilliant.
anyway my friend had a ploughmans which looked really nice the rolls look like they are baked on site ,the stilton what cam with it was huge ,you also had salad and pickles and chutneys, and what looked like wiltshire ham.
she also had two halfs of lime and lemonade,
me i had the burger which i think is home made .it ad a caramilised onion chutney in.and grated cheese on top.
with chips which was also home made.
also had a creme brulee which i would have to say was the best one i have ever tasted .with a pint of bitter shandy.
the service was fine .the place was fine and the setting was fantastic.
the bill came to 27 quid which wasnt bad.
next time we are taking the dogs going for a good walk along the canel then stopping here for lunch
