Has anyone tried the new Chinese restaurant in Church street? I went in there a few weeks ago with my family and had a great meal. The service was excellent, the food arrived quickly and was well cooked and not too badly priced. We went for the set menu and there was far too much for us. The meal for 2 would have easily fed 3 or 4 adults.
My only surprise with this new venture is lack of advertising. Whenever I mention it to anyone they haven't even been aware it has opened. Can't be doing much for their business.

I think it's in part of the old Conservative Club building
Does nyone know if they do any midweek "all u can eat" midweek specials like the restaurants in Chippenham or anything like the Wednesday Banquet night at the Spice of Bengal? |

they do not do a all you can eat like the one in chippenham.the set menus start at 1290 to 1800 per person.
it is part of the old consertive club there number is 01249815111 |

| Apparantly they're going to try 'an all you can eat buffet' in the new year on Sundays. Whenever I go past in the evenings they seem fairly busy, but it's dead at lunchtimes. |

| it works great in the one in chippenham .they are constanly packed its only 13 45 per person .its two starters ,then yu have your crispy duck or lamb then you have two mains.if they did that here in calne they will make a killing. |

Yea i agree.
Though i guess they are aiming to be a quality outfit, not a cheapo all you can eat for a tenner kind of place.....
Like the idea though on a certain day ! |

I have been there about half a dozen times since it opened with mixed results. Generaly it has been good, but I really hope they do something with the interior design.
It has looked pretty busy the last few times I have walked past.
Why don't you all give it a go, its worth supporting to help bring more choice to calne. |
