found just the other side of warminster.
great for walks.part of the longleat estate.cost 50 to park your car.
many people use the lake for fising .
although dogs are not allowed in the lake ,there is  small pond that dogs can go in further along the trail.

yes you can walk round the lake ,there are many paths which take you in the wood as well.
as for the tea room ,i did see people with some takeaway coffees so i guess they have some facility there.
the lake is very popular for sailing.

is it worth the journey??
on a nice summers day then yes .

i do have loads of pics from there but i have a problem with putting pics on the computer at the moment

You can walk all around this man-made lake which is part of the Longleat estate. There is some good walks through woodland which are all on tarmac tracks, so it's great if you have a pram or buggy to push.

This sounds better and better, we have a buggy and seem to end up at coate water or lydiard park.....so a change of place would be great.
