|
Here are some views along the canal which runs through part of Seend Cleeve, where I live.
This shot is just down the road from our place. The Cream coloured building is the Barge Inn pub - as seen in the next photo.
This is the pub (one of two we have in our part of the village) from the opposite end of the canal.
These are some various views of the canal.
We helped renovate 5 of the locks that we have in the village back in 2000. It was the coldest, wettest and dirtiest work that I have ever carried out. We were involved with the canal renovations for about six months.
As you can see the canal can be a busy place with people mooring up and living there.
This is part of the Hilperton marina complex about 3 miles away. It's Wiltshire's answer to Venice.
How about this for some unspoilt farmland - apart from the rape
You can just see my little village peeping above the hill.
This (slightly blurred) photo is of the cluster of houses that make up our village. My house is in the centre at the back by the trees.
Thanks for looking.
